hidden stairways and shiny windows

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006

yeah, so i haven’t taken photos. but now i am. the light through these turn-of-the-century windows always makes me stop in my tracks. When the sun hits it the right way it is brilliant.

better this than all the photos i took of bowling and arm wrestling this weekend.

sad monkeys and tetris champs

Sunday, December 11th, 2005

i have sadly, neglected the ol’ singleservingphoto. ahhh, i am a meanie mcmeanerpants… but it was all for a good reason! I have spent my time moving! And becoming TETRIS QUEEN! Behold, the agony of defeat!

and behold! a sad monkey or something! (yes, this is what I do at my weekend job, photograph stuffed monkeys… i mean… sell flowers)

ok so maybe it’s not a good excuse, but there really is no daylight left for me anymore to take photos… so… honestly? i am mostly doing this:

commuting it the hell up. yeah. that’s me, in all my early morning retardo-tron looking glory. embrace my lame.

on the way to the toy store

Sunday, November 13th, 2005

on the weekends i while away the hours working in a flower shop. it is located in a busy collection of odd/hip stores coexisting in one building; all hardwood floors and old woodwork. there is a toy store next door to the florist where i plunk myself. frequently i hear tantrums, followed by a parent carrying a kicking, screeching child down the hallway and outside. but, when the children are running this way (in the photo) they are just jonesin’ to get to the store. i see little blurs run by all the time. chased by slightly more exasperated, older, less blurry parents.
